This kit, constructed from 8740 Chromoly with an added proprietary element, provides superior durability and ensures the studs won’t stretch like factory bolts. The threads are rolled after heat-treatment to deliver optimal fatigue strength. Rated at 210,000-230,000 psi yield strength and 220,000-236,000 psi tensile strength, these studs guarantee a strong hold under higher combustion pressures.
Replacing the main bolts with studs allows for more precise torque readings. Unlike bolts that get twisted and react to two different forces simultaneously, studs apply force to the vertical axis, resulting in an even clamping force.
